Jenny Christian

Sept. 24, 1977 – Dec. 1, 2023

From Robbie Morgan

One morning I had a wild hair to stage a bunch of photos around Lexington while wearing a flamingo swimming tube. I called Jenny. She jumped into my car with muck boots, a jacket, sunglasses, a coffee and a camera and off we went to various stops in Lexington, creeks, parks, historic statues and more. My god we had fun. After about three hours, I dropped her back off and we just laughed and laughed as she got out of the car. That was the morning we had just spent together. And the last look back again from her porch with that twinkle she had about her eyes. It was brilliant. Jenny was brilliant.

Dear lovely Death

Dear lovely Death
That taketh all things under wing —
Never to kill —
Only to change
Into some other thing
This suffering flesh,
To make it either more or less,
But not again the same —
Dear lovely Death,
Change is thy other name.
— Langston Hughes
